Chaldoran (Azeri: çald?ran)(Persian: ???????) is a city in the north of West Azarbaijan province of Iran. Seyah Cheshmeh or Siah Cheshmeh (Persian: ??? ????) or Kara Aineh is its center. Avajiq is another city close to Chaldiran. Around 80% of its population are Azeri and rest portion of the population of Chaldoran are Kirmancî Kurdish . Formerly, the city had a large Christian population. Chaldoran is one of the touristic areas of West Azarbaijan province of Iran because of its cold weather in winter and cool in summer.
